Among believers, a tale is told...

This is the world of Veyarth.

Twenty thousand years ago, the Great Dragons breathed the pure energy in their timeless bodies together, and gave it form. That form is Veyarth, the world we live on.

However, when the time came to decide this planet's purpose, the dragons were driven to war over differing ideals.

The chromatic dragons believed they ruled all as creators, while the metallic dragons believed only through freedom would beauty sprout.

The war fought over this was the War of Creation, an event so destructive it created sapient life.

During the war, the chromatic dragons uncovered a deadly weapon:

Zgon, the King of Storms.

It was a cancer infecting the planet, and it destroyed almost every dragon effortlessly. In the end, only one dragon remained: Xiendoissoalth, King of Dragons.

He sealed Zgon away in a cocoon for twenty thousand years, within which the dreams of the Dragon King would bring unending assault on the King of Storms.

When the time came for Xiendoissoalth to awaken, Zgon was still alive, only half-destroyed. The Dragon King awoke to war surrounding him, and was too furious to fight his true opponent.

The world would be doomed, were it not for The Heroes. Three brave and selfless individuals: Cayenne of the Cogvines, Searu Sterngrip, and Rhogar Drachedandion.

With their combined powers, the King of Storms was eliminated, once and for all. The world, however, was not yet safe.

The Dragon King, his anger sated by an ocean of broken ships, declared that the dragons, once rulers of a warring world, would retreat from the lands they had claimed.

All dragonkind was infuriated by this. Millenia of fighting put to an end so suddenly? But even if they could work together, they would not be strong enough to challenge the Dragon King.

Now, in the aftermath of the Dragon King's awakening, once-dominated lands are left to piece themselves back together.
